Public and Professional Workshop:
New Solutions to Depression and Anxiety
Los Angeles: April 2, 2005
Presented at California State University, Northridge.
Depression--and related disorders including anxiety, PTSD and chronic pain--make up a significant part of most psychologist's case load. Clinical depression affects one in ten adults and one in six children, and doubles worldwide every decade (childhood depression increases at an astonishing 23% each year). Yet much of the information we receive about depression is inadequate or even misleading, and none of it explains this soaring pandemic.
Based on Dr Murray and Alicia Fortinberry's highly-acclaimed new book Creating Optimism: A Seven-Step Program for Overcoming Depression (McGraw-Hill, 2004) and their successful international Uplift Program sponsored by the University of South Florida, this highly experiential 8-hour symposium presents a revolutionary theoretical and practical framework for treating depression.
| “The Fortinberry Murray Method is at the leading edge of new thought in healing.” |
-- Sandy Bernabei, CSW, Rockland Council on Alcoholism |
